Initial looks on this wine show its prominent ruby red color. On the nose it is classic Aleksander; plum, dark and red fruits as well as remarkable aromas of leather, vanilla and hints of tobacco. 

On the nose it is rich with plum, blackberries and dark fruits. Hints of tobacco, leather and smokiness come through as well. On the palate it is smooth, has nice acidity and it is rounded with grippy yet balanced tannins - higher than those of our previous Aleksander blends.

The 2016 Aleksander is our very first blend integrating and highlighting the elegance of our estate grown Malbec. The blend is still Merlot dominant and thus in line with our tradition, but its delicate mouthfeel derives from our luscious Malbec. 

A well-balanced wine of pleasing structure supporting delicate blackberry character, the 2015 Aleksander also features delicious notes of juicy plum. The unique blend in this wine, truly represents the unique winemaking style of Aleksander Wines.
